Youth & Young Adults

Voltage is a youth activity program that is part of the youth ministry of Camberwell Baptist Church and it runs on alternate Friday nights during the school year.

Voltage seeks to create a fun and safe place for teenagers to come and connect with each other through various activities. The Voltage community is a place where young people can explore spiritual and ethical concepts that are important to consider as a young person in today’s society. The activities organised by Voltage can be based either on site at the Wills St Hall or can be offsite for special activities such as Dark Zone, Bowling, Ice Skating or community service events.

All youth who attend Voltage get a Bounce Leader appointed to them as a go to person who will look out for them. This person is an adult responsible for running the program but will actively seek to help those in their Bounce Groups with any questions they might have and over time act as a mentor for them.

D-Teams are the small group branch of the youth ministry at Camberwell Baptist Church and they run on Sunday mornings during the school year.

These groups are a focused opportunity for youth to study the bible, encourage each other in their faith journey and do life together. D-teams are run by a small group of leaders who are passionate about seeing young people grow both in their relationship with God and also as people generally.

The group currently meets upstairs in the Youth Room partway through the 10am morning service and the youth are directed to head out after the early part of the service is complete. The group then splits into smaller groups to suit the age and gender of those attending.

Young Adults

Transform is the Young Adult community of Camberwell Baptist church, and together we are passionate about building a community that is sharing life, serving others, and lives being transformed as we grow in our walk with Jesus.

Transform is a relaxed and welcoming group with a number of ways you can connect. Weekly we have a Monday night small group where we talk openly about the bible and what it means to follow Jesus in our everyday lives.  There are also regular social activities where you can come and be part of our community, and opportunities to serve the church and our community.

For more information about how you can come and connect with our community contact Nathan Steer through the church office or email.
