Come Celebrate Easter

The Saviour who Serves

“For the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:28

In a world where people tend to serve themselves, Jesus makes this profound statement about who he is, and his purpose in the world.  Jesus did not come to be served by human hands, but to serve and ultimately sacrifice himself for us all. Throughout his life Jesus lived to serve, he taught, he fed, he healed, he sacrificed everything to serve others. But nowhere is this more evident than in his death where Jesus in dies a horrific death on a Roman cross, to serve and save humanity from our sin and brokenness. Not only did Jesus die to serve, but now now raised to life, and seated at the right hand of the father, he continues to serve us still.

Come and Join us this Easter as we remember, as we give thanks for, as we worship Jesus, the Saviour who came to serve and save a fallen people like us…

Shaped 2 Serve – Gifts Course

We believe that God, by his Spirit has uniquely shaped and gifted each and every one of us to serve Jesus in the world. When we use our gifts and abilities to serve Jesus, we come to know God more deeply, and reveal His glory, as He accomplishes His work in and through our lives.

As part of our ‘Live 2 Serve’ sermon series, we want to help you find your place in the mission of Jesus, and so we are running a Spiritual Gifts Survey and two Seminars over the coming months. Pick up your ‘Shaped 2 Serve’ booklet with questions and activities for you to complete prior to the two, one-hour seminars. They will be fun, interactive, and informative, and will not only help you understand your SHAPE, but empower you to step into ministry.

Live 2 Serve – Sermon Series

Jesus makes this profound statement about who he is, and his purpose in the world, he says, “The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Even though he was the Son of God, in human flesh, who came into this world, Jesus knew his role was not to be served by human hands, but to humbly serve those around him and ultimately sacrifice himself to bring hope and healing to the human heart.

As followers of Jesus, serving is not an optional extra, it is the primary action of a heart that has been transformed by Jesus. That’s what moves us to shape our lives in service of him, in service of others, in service of God’s saving purposes for our community, the whole world.
